The Saturday event on March 21, 2026, at the Retro Gaming Museum in Vienna was a complete success.
60 people answered the call to visit the museum late in the evening and stayed well into the night, trying out dozens of gaming stations and admiring hundreds of exhibits.
50 years of video game history could be experienced up close. Visitors indulged in childhood memories, played long-forgotten classics, and marveled at exotic games they had never seen before. In a 30-minute talk, the museum’s curator walked the audience through the history of the museum’s creation and offered fascinating behind-the-scenes insights.
Numerous future plans and projects were also presented, and visitors were given the opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions or contribute their own projects, aiming to create synergies and help bring gaming back into the public space.
Conclusion: A more than successful evening that marks the starting point for many exciting projects to come.
The Retro Gaming Museum team is already looking forward to a game-filled future and would like to thank everyone for the tremendous interest.
